This flu season, the CDC recommends everyone over 6 months of age receive the annual flu vaccination. Check-in online or walk-in to get your flu shot at your nearby Partners Urgent Care center any day of the week, from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Note: we are currently offering the flu shot at select centers, please check availability below.

What flu shot options does Partners Urgent Care offer?

We offer the quadrivalent flu shot at Partners Urgent Care. The flu shot is:

  • Approved for ages 4 and older
  • Approved for pregnant women

Partners Urgent Care does not offer the high potency flu shot for 65 years of age and older and does not offer the Flu nasal spray (FluMist).

Why should you get the flu shot this year?

If you’ve ever had the flu, you know how serious it is. In fact, it can lead to hospitalization and sometimes even death. Since some populations are more vulnerable to the flu and its symptoms than others, by getting a vaccination, it not only protects yourself against the flu but also helps eliminate the risk that you may spread the flu to those who are less healthy and unable to fight its symptoms.

When should I get the flu shot?

You should get the flu shot before the flu begins spreading in your community. The CDC recommends that you get your vaccination by the end of October as it takes the antibodies from the flu shot about 2 weeks to develop in your body to actively protect against the flu. Getting vaccinated later than October is still beneficial and flu shots will continue to be offered at Partners Urgent Care throughout the flu season while supplies last.

Who should get the flu shot?

Everyone over 6 months of age who does not fall into a rare exception of who should not be vaccinated should get the flu shot. Partners Urgent Care provides flu shots approved for ages 4 and older.

Do I need insurance to get a flu shot?
If you're paying with insurance, check with your insurance provider to see if you have a copay. Most insurances do cover the flu shot and do not require a copay.
If you choose to pay without insurance, the flu shot will cost $25 and payment will be requested at the time of your visit.
